The operating conditions on the CBC's regional rail network require a vehicle with rapid acceleration, a line speed of up to 120 km/h on the main lines (Sachsenmagistrale) and up to 80 km/h on the single-track sections. The Regioshuttle with its seating capacity, comfort features and performance parameters fulfils the requirements for the services on the routes served. The City-Bahn currently has 6 Regio-Shuttle RS-1 (511-516).
