Chemnitz/Aue - At the request of mobility-impaired passengers, the City-Bahn Chemnitz and the VdK Saxony social association are organising a public mobility training course as part of its "Public transport for all" project.
When: 18 September 2023, 2 to 6 pm
Where: Aue (Sachs) railway station
A Citylink will be available at platform 2, as it has been in use on the Burgstädt - Chemnitz - Aue line (line C13) since the beginning of 2022.
Passengers with reduced mobility, as well as other interested passengers, have the opportunity to practise getting on and off the bus and travelling safely. The same applies to the visually impaired with their guide dogs. Visitors will also be able to talk to the railcar driver and customer advisor on site and exchange ideas. Accompanying persons are of course also invited.
It is also possible to use aids such as a wheelchair or eye disease simulation glasses to simulate different types of disabilities.
The invitation is also addressed to the media, with a cordial request to report on the event. There is the possibility of film and photo shoots - naturally in compliance with personal rights.
VdK Sachsen and City Bahn would also be pleased if the event could be announced promptly in print, online, on the radio and on TV.
