- GDL ends strike (No. 16) against the City-Bahn at short notice
- City trains start running again today - train services not yet stable at present
- Passengers: Please continue to use emergency bus services until the all-clear is given by City-Bahn!
Chemnitz - The German Train Drivers' Union (GDL) informed the management of City-Bahn Chemnitz (CBC) yesterday at 10.12 pm that it wanted to end the current strike (No. 16) on Thursday at 2 am.
With this very short lead time, it was not possible for City-Bahn to get the trains running immediately at the start of operations on Thursday. The management therefore asked all passengers to continue to rely on the emergency bus service for the time being. The buses will continue to run until rail traffic is stable. City trains will gradually be introduced today, but these connections cannot initially be reliably displayed in the information systems.
As soon as rail services are running smoothly again, City-Bahn will provide information on its website www.citybahn.de. The timetables for the current emergency bus service can also be found there.
