City-Bahn sends festival train to Mittweida Campus Festival

Chemnitz/Mittweida: The Campus Festival Mittweida and the City-Bahn Chemnitz are launching the Festival-Bahn project! DJ "Persh" will be playing on 7 June and DJ "Vinback" on 8 June (both at 5.14 p.m. from Technopark) on two regular trains on line C14 in the direction of Mittweida station.

In this project we are leading the way and want to show how pragmatically we can work together to connect the region's art and culture scene with Chemnitz, the European Capital of Culture 2025.

The Campusfestival Mittweida is the largest campus festival in the region and is organised annually by the students of Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. The festival is a public event for all music fans. This year 1000 visitors are expected. This year's lineup is made up of musicians from rock and pop, such as DILLA, Maël & Jonas, Roast Apple, Schorl3 and many more. The Producer of the Campus Festival, Leny Näser, is pleased about the cooperation:

With the festival train, we not only make it easy for guests from Chemnitz to come to the Campus Festival, but also create a real experience already on the journey. We are thrilled with the opportunity that the City-Bahn has created for us here..

The project had taken its course when the Campus Festival asked the City Railway about posters on the trains. The City-Bahn had suggested doing more: Because already in November 2021, the company had sent two party trains including DJs to a concert in Frankenberg in the track. Despite the Corona restrictions at the time, the project was a complete success.

Journalists are invited to report on the festival train to Mittweida on 7 June from 4.45 pm at the Technopark stop.
