Roadworks in Chemnitz: C lines diverted or shortened

  • Restrictions on City-Bahn services from 7 to 17 October 2024
  • Reason: Roadworks in Carolastraße/Straße der Nationen and on Bernsbachplatz
  • C13 and C14 bypass urban area, C11 and C15 are shortened

Chemnitz - Two roadworks in Chemnitz will have a major impact on the City-Bahn lines C11, C13, C14 and C15 in the coming days in Chemnitz

During the autumn holidays, builders will be working on the Carolastraße/Straße der Nationen track curve and the Bernsbachplatz track crossing. This means the following for the C-Line network:

C11 The line runs between Stollberg (Sachs) and Chemnitz central station. The section Zentralhaltestelle Chemnitz Hauptbahnhof is cancelled. Alternatively, tram line 4, bus lines 21, 22, 23, 31, 32 and regional bus lines can be used for this section.

C13/C14 The lines between Chemnitz Reichenhain and Chemnitz Hauptbahnhof without a stop directly via Chemnitz Süd. This means that the Technopark, TU Campus, Rosenbergstraße, Stadlerplatz, Bernsbachplatz, Annenstraße, Zentralhaltestelle, Roter Turm, Theaterplatz and Bahnhofstraße stops will be cancelled. CVAG has set up rail replacement services for the section Technopark Zentralhalterstelle. Tram line 4, bus lines 21, 22, 23, 31, 32 and regional bus lines can be used for the section Zentralhaltestelle Chemnitz Hauptbahnhof.

C15 The line runs between Hainichen and Chemnitz main station. The Chemnitz main station Technopark section is cancelled. Tram line 4, bus lines 21, 22, 23, 31, 32 and regional bus lines can be used for the Chemnitz Hauptbahnhof Zentralhaltestelle section. CVAG has set up rail replacement services for the section Central Station Technopark.

The timetables are available on www.city-bahn.de/stoerungsmeldungen and are included in the electronic timetable information of the VMS: www.vms.de/fahrplan. The timetable information also includes the changed timetable times of the CVAG trams.
