- Component in signal box defective - replacement not possible until next week
- From today (12 October 2023) at 3.30 p.m., there will therefore be no half-hourly repeater trips
- Hourly service until further notice - bus repeaters in operation from the start of school next week
Chemnitz - Due to a faulty component in the electronic interlocking, from today (12 October 2023), all booster trips on Chemnitzbahn line 11 between Neukirchen-Klaffenbach and Stollberg will be cancelled. This means that the trains will only run every hour between the two stations and at staggered intervals. The timetable between Chemnitz main station and Neukirchen-Klaffenbach remains unchanged
The defective interlocking component is not expected to be replaced until next week. The electronic signal box for the railway line will therefore not be fully operational until then: The dense 30-minute interval that is usually operated with booster trains during rush hour is therefore impossible between Stollberg and Neukirchen-Klaffenbach.
From 3.30 p.m. today until Sunday evening (closing time), the C11 line will therefore only run every hour on this section, which will also always run a quarter of an hour later due to operational reasons (at minute 47 from Stollberg | at minute 10 from Neukirchen)
School starts again on Monday (16 October 2023) after the autumn holidays. This will lead to increased passenger volumes. Whether additional buses can be used to replace the cancelled trains from Monday is currently being examined. There will be separate information on this.
You can find all the latest information on the traffic flow at www.city-bahn.de/stoerungsmeldungen.
The emergency timetable is attached to the press release. As soon as the signal box is operational again, City-Bahn will provide information here.
